Featuring a Texalium-composite outsole that works in conjunction with Easton's Dry Flow anti-moisture system, this model has the ability absorb and release excess moisture via a microfiber insole and a perforated heel liner. Fully-moldable Fusion Foam quarters help to provide a custom-style fit, operating as a part of the Ideal-Fit thermally-activated anatomical heel and ankle foam system. Specific to the EQ5 is the Composite Energy Return technology, which reinforces key areas of the boot that are most susceptible to impact to prolong the life and shape of the boot. A Razor Bladz II system serves as the blade holder and runner of the skate, housing an Elite Runners blade that can flex in the direction that a player is turning for optimal performance. In addition, the EQ5 is fitted with a thick black tongue, and features a lace-protection design that aims to minimize the likelihood of "lace bite".
